As of 2026, urban transformation rental assistance amounts have been updated by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, grouped according to the cost of living in each province. A significant improvement has been made, particularly considering the rising rental costs in metropolitan areas.

Here are the updated rental assistance amounts and payment details for each province in 2026:

1. Monthly Rent Assistance for Property Owners (Homeowners)

Payments to property owners are made monthly and typically continue for 18 months in risky buildings and up to 48 months in high-risk areas.

2. Tenants and Holders of Limited Real Rights

Payments to tenants and holders of limited real rights (usufruct rights, etc.) are made as a one-time "relocation assistance" payment instead of monthly installments.

Tenants: They receive a one-time payment equal to twice their monthly rent assistance.

Istanbul: 24,000 TL

Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, Bursa: 20,000 TL

Other Metropolitan Areas: 17,000 TL

Other Provinces: 14,000 TL

Holders of Limited Real Rights: They receive a one-time payment equal to five times the monthly rent assistance.

3. The Difference of Istanbul's "Half On Us" Campaign

If your building is in Istanbul and is included in the "Half On Us" campaign, in addition to the standard rental assistance mentioned above, grant support and higher relocation assistance items may be applied throughout the process. Within this campaign, an additional monthly support of approximately 1,500 TL - 2,500 TL may also be available.

Important Notes You Should Know:

• Application Period: Applications must be submitted within one year from the date of evacuation or within three months from the date the building was demolished.

• Rent assistance or loan? You cannot receive both rent assistance and urban transformation loan interest subsidies at the same time. You must choose one of them.

• Payment Method: Payments are generally deposited into Ziraat Bank accounts between the 15th and 25th of the following month after the application is approved.
